Scott Lubinski (MFA/Acting-National Theatre Conservatory; BA/Music & Theatre-University of Northern Colorado) 

For over 30 years he has been an educator of theatre and music artist while participating in 200+ productions locally, regionally, and nationally as director, music director, performer, and pianist.

Scott’s inspiration for teaching is the way that students miraculously expand his personal awareness of the richness, resiliency, and courageousness of humanity itself.

Bio:

Carrie Colton holds a BFA in Classical Acting from Southern Utah University and her MFA in Directing from Florida State University. She has performed in two international tours: My Fair Lady (Eliza) and Annie (Miss Hannigan), as well as several regional theatres around the country. Favorite directing and choreography credits include Hairspray with the Fusion Academy of Hong Kong, Peter Pan with the Jacksonville Opera Theatre, and Twelfth Night with the North Dakota Shakespeare Festival. Carrie is certified in Stage Combat by the British Academy of Dramatic Combat, holds her yoga certification from Guru Mahi's Ashram in India, and is the Artistic Di-rector of The Shakespeare Project in Alabama. Carrie loves Musical Theatre, Shakespeare, Children’s Theatre and is the mother of many dogs!

Laura is currently the faculty Costume Designer for the MSU Denver Theatre Department. For more than 35 years, Laura has worked as a designer ,technician, and teacher throughout the Rocky Mountain region. She has designed scenery and costumes for more than 120 productions for a variety of theatres including the Denver Center Theatre Co., Phamaly Theatre Company and the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities. She has designed and taught at several other universities in the region.

Bio:

Jeffrey is a musical theatre and voice specialist. He has performed Off-Broadway, on National Tours, and in major cities all across the country including here in Denver. Jeffrey holds an MFA in Acting from UC Irvine and a BA in Theatre from UCLA. He is a Certified Teacher of Knight-Thompson Speechwork and a Certified Associate Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework. He has won several awards for his acting, his directing, and his teaching. He is, by all accounts, a nerd.

Jacob is an award winning lighting designer working throughout North America. In Colorado, he has designed for Arvada, Curious, Creede Repertory Theatre, Lake Dillon Theatre, Backstage Theatre Town Hall Arts Center, Lone Tree Arts Center, Pace, Aurora Fox, Paragon, Local Theatre, BETC, Open-stage, Bas Bleu, Theatreworks, and many other companies. He is ETCP Electrician Certified and a member of United Scenic Artists Local 829. Jacob has his MFA in Lighting Design for Western Illinois University.

Megan holds an MA in Theatre from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a BA in Technical Theatre with an emphasis in Stage Management from New England College. She has worked with companies such as the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Merrimack Repertory Theatre, Worcester Foothills Theatre, North Country Center for the Performing Arts and the New Jersey June Opera Festival. Chandra is a proud Denver native and an Alum of the Department of Theatre here at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Greg holds an MFA in Costume Design from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and a BA in Theatre from the University of Norther Colorado. Prior to working at MSU Denver, Greg worked as a costumer, for five years, at various theaters around the Denver Metro area. He has also worked at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival as Wardrobe Master and at PlayMakers Repertory Company, Barter Theater, Goodspeed Opera, Utah Shakespeare Festival, and Tennessee Repertory, as Cutter/Draper and Assistant Designer and the State University of New York at Albany as Costume Shop Manager for 5 years.

Robert's first professional acting role was Curly in "Of Mice and Men' at the Asolo State Theatre in Florida in 1988. He has worked since then all over the country amassing a theatrical resume of over 109 productions that he has either directed or acted in. He founded the California Actors Theatre in San Juan Capistrano, CA. in 1995 and moved the Theatre to Longmont, CO. in 2002. Robert's film and TV credits include a reoccurring role on the ABC series "The Secret Lives of Men" with Bradley Whitford and Peter Gallagher, several nationwide released commercials for AT&T, Nintendo and Campbells Soup, to name just a few and he was a regular at Bravura Films, the company that produced all of Apple's in house industrial Films. He began teaching at Metro State University in 2007.

Terry Burnsed has been an Affiliate Faculty in Theatre at MSU Denver since 2004. He earned his PhD and M.A. from UC Boulder and a B.A. from MSU Denver. Terry teaches Intro. to Theare, Theatre History/Theory, Oral Interpretation, and Staging Cultures. He has directed (a little), designed sound (in the old days), served as dramaturg, written plays and adaptations, but mostly acted (e.g., as King Lear March 2018).

Connie Sander has been a working theater artist in the Denver area since 1987. After receiving her Master's Degree in Directing from Humboldt State University, she has been an educator since 2001. Connie is a strong believer in the Department's motto of theater being "Equipment for Living" and reinforces this idea in all her classes and productions, building better communication skills and communities. Prior to teaching, she was Co-Founder of Cattle Call Productions and her recent directing projects have been developing full productions from the stories of real people. Lorraine Scott has been involved in many areas of theatre for over 40 years. Originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan she attended the Academy of Dramatic Arts, Rochester, Michigan, holds B.A. in Theatre from Western Michigan University, and an M.F.A. in Directing form the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. She has been directing, acting and teaching in the Denver community for over 25 years. In 2018 she directed “Irish Tales Along the Trail” with Arts and the Open and produced the Vintage Theatre New Comedy Play as well as directing “Boston Marriage” at The Vintage Theatre. Lorraine serves on the board with The Firehouse Theater, Vintage Theatre and One Night Stand (Reader’s Theatre.)

Jenn Zuko is a fight director, body language consultant,martial artist, and movement specialist who has been teaching at MSU Denver’s Theatre department since 2005. She’s also a professor of English and writing at Regis and DU. She’s the author of "Stage Combat: a manual of basics, and co-producer of Blue Dime Cabaret, a variety show in the Boulder/Denver area.
