Our Service Desk team are the first responders to student, faculty and staff incidents and requests. We understand the interconnectedness of all our IT systems and services, and we excel at helping our clients navigate them. You will learn valuable OS troubleshooting, skills, Active Directory, technical writing, and customer service skills. As you advance with us, you will learn to use and support Office 365, endpoint management systems (SCCM/JAMF), and security processes.
Reporting to the Service Desk Supervisor, you will provide provide a single point of contact to enhance customer service satisfaction through answering calls, walk-ins, emails, reporting using the ticketing system, and on-site visits.

Our Desktop Support Team works closely with the Service Desk as a point of escalation for on-campus technical support and for requests or incidents that require deeper investigation and research. This team also supports the Service Desk with overflow phone calls and walk-up support, as well as the Learning Spaces team with academic computer lab computing and re-imaging. You will employ OS troubleshooting skills, hardware troubleshooting, Active Directory, technical writing, and customer service skills. As you advance with us, you will learn to use and support Office 365, endpoint management systems (SCCM/JAMF), and security processes.

MSU Denver ITS is looking for a highly self-motivated individual to assist with the creation and revision of Disaster Recovery and Infrastructure documentation. As an intern, you will report and shadow under the full-time Disaster Recovery Specialist. You will be asked to assist in defining ITS processes, organizing procedure documentation, upgrading workflow diagrams, tracking projects, and gathering information from Subject Matter Experts across ITS departments.

As an Academic Computing Lab Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing the student computer labs for MSU Denver. Duties include opening and closing the labs, maintaining a tidy and professional environment, providing technical support for lab devices (computers, scanners, printers, classroom AV), enforcing lab policies (including state guidelines regarding public health and social distancing), and assisting the Learning Spaces team as needed with various projects.

The Client Configuration Student Technician is responsible for the configuration, retrieval, repair, and reconditioning of all MSU Denver-owned computers. The Client Configuration Student Technician will provide computer hardware and software support to the University’s administrators, faculty, staff, and students. This position will occasionally interact with members of the campus community to assist in scoping desktop computing needs and make recommendations based on job duties, travel frequency, and other factors.
