Students Accessing Financial Empowerment
Don't Cancel That Class
$AFE will be offering presentations for our Don't Cancel That Class program beginning with the Fall 2019 semester.
What is Don't Cancel That Class?
Don't Cancel That Class leverages the classroom environment to provide financial literacy content and to drive students towards $AFE resources and workshops. In the event that a class would be cancelled due to faculty or instructor absence, class instead meets as scheduled and a member of $AFE provides a brief presentation to students.
We're working hard to develop a menu of presentations for the Fall 2019 semester. Faculty will have the option of selecting the presentation they believe best fits the demographics of their class. For example, an upper level course with primarily graduating seniors might best be suited for our Navigating Student Loan Repayment presentation, whereas an entry level course composed of first-time full-time freshmen might benefit more from a quick plug of our programs and services.
A menu of our presentations is coming soon. In the meantime, we'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions for content. Are there topics that might specifically benefit the students enrolled in courses offered by your department? Let us know!

any additional information you believe may be helpful as we prepare to present to your class
