Did you know that Covid-19 vaccines are safe, free and easy to get? They are also the key to returning to the full and vibrant campus experience you enjoyed prior to the pandemic.
That’s why Metropolitan State University of Denver, along with other colleges and universities in Colorado, is requiring all students and members of faculty and staff to receive Covid-19 vaccinations before the start of the fall semester. To ensure that you’re fully vaccinated by Aug. 23, it’s important that you receive the first dose of the two-shot Pfizer or Moderna vaccine by July 1. If you choose to receive the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine, this also should be administered by July 1.
Getting your vaccination is more convenient than ever, with Auraria’s on-campus vaccine-distribution site at the 5th Street Garage (650 Walnut St., Denver, CO 80204), which is expanding its hours of operations:
The drive-thru site is open for first- and second-dose needs to all community member ages 12 and older.
If you schedule your appointment using the campus vaccine-scheduling link, you will see all available appointment slots and the available hours each day through the end of June. This extended scheduling option will provide more flexibility to accommodate varying personal needs.
In addition, individuals who received a first dose of Pfizer elsewhere can request their second dose at the 5th Street Garage vaccination site. These individuals MUST bring their vaccine card to their second appointment.
Walk-up appointments are also available without advance registration.
We encourage everyone to schedule or walk-up at the 5th Street Garage location or ANY of the other vaccine distribution sites, including new walk-up clinics, in the state:
Having a vaccinated Auraria community will improve campus safety, enabling a robust in-person fall semester. Thank you for getting vaccinated as soon as possible!
