Question: What is Campus Recreation?
Answer: A lot, and we’re not just a gym!
We offer plenty of diverse options for you to get involved and get your mind off the stress of juggling work, school and your personal life. In addition to the fitness center, fitness loft, climbing wall, personal training and group fitness classes, Campus Rec offers you opportunities to participate in organized sports like Intramurals. You will create a team of your friends and play in officiated games that run for a few weeks and culminates with a playoff tournament where we crown a champion. Competitive video gaming (esports) also falls in this list with intramural leagues in Super Smash Bros, FIFA 20 and Rocket League this spring. If you’re looking to compete at a higher level, travel and represent MSU Denver regionally and nationally, join our Club Sport teams.
Less into competition and more into nature? We’ve got you covered. Outdoor Pursuits includes opportunities to lead or be a team player via outdoor activities such as hiking, rock climbing and avalanche safety training! The Outdoor Pursuits Center also offers free to affordable rental gear and games. We can even certify you in CPR/AED and help improve your running times.
