Come join the Colorado-Wyoming Academy of Science on Nov. 14 to learn about climate change, alternative energy, oil & gas exploration and conservation in Colorado & Wyoming. The annual meeting will take place at the SpringHill Suites Denver Downtown on the campus of Metropolitan State University of Denver.
The meeting theme is “The Role of Colorado and Wyoming in 21st Century Science.” Breakout session subjects include alternative energy, climate change, science education and conservation science.
Also on the agenda is the election of the 2016-17 CWAS Board of Directors. Board representatives must run and be elected every two years in order to ensure continuity from one year to the next. The meeting will also provide an opportunity for open discussion on the mission and direction of the Academy.
Fees: A conference pre-registration fee of $35 for regular members and $25 for students is required (registration at the meeting will cost $45 and $35, respectively). There is no fee required for poster presentations. Conference fees include a continental breakfast Saturday morning. Lunch will also be provided to all conference attendees. Beverages will be available throughout the day.
To register for the conference, please print and fill out this registration form. The form also provides the opportunity to join CWAS. Make checks payable to the Colorado-Wyoming Academy of Science. If submitting one check for several people, please itemize fees as to student pre-registration and regular pre-registration as well as CWAS membership.
All attendees are encouraged to join CWAS and to pre-register. For additional information, please visit the Colorado-Wyoming Academy of Science website.
