MSW Program: Accepted with Stipulation
Mandatory Writing Support
Terms of Stipulation
The stipulation of mandatory writing support is utilized when the faculty reviewer(s) determine the applicant may need additional writing support in order to be sucessful in the MSW Program. The MSW Program Director will determine what action is needed to start the MSW Program in good standing. If the actions are not met per the specified timeline, the student will be dismissed from the Program.
Required Next Steps
A registration hold has been added to your account. You will not be able to register for classes until you have contacted the MSW Program Director, Dr. Bailey, at jbaile61@msudenver.edu and discuss what steps will be required to complete this condition.
Important Note: Writing Support versus Mandatory Writing Support
If your acceptance decision contained a section titled "Writing Support" but does not list "Mandatory Writing Support" in the Stipulation(s) section, you do not have the mandatory writing support stipulation. Instead, the faculty reviewer(s) felt there were areas where your writing could be strengthened but these concerns did not rise to the level of needing mandatory support prior to starting the MSW Program. You are encouraged to review the writing resources linked in your admissions decision but are not required to meet with Dr. Bailey.
