What is the Social Work Fall Assembly?

Social Work Fall Assembly

We are a community driven profession and therefore a community focused department. To help our students connect with one another and with social work faculty and staff, we have a Fall Assembly event every August. Incoming students at all levels are invited to start building their connections with our social work community while continuing students are invited to join us in welcoming the new classes and re-connecting with one another prior to classes starting.

2024 Fall Assembly

Thursday, August 15, 2024 | 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (MST)
In person and online attendance options

King Center Concert Hall
900 Auraria Parkway
Denver, CO 80024

The 2024 Fall Assembly will be held in person at the King Center on the Auraria Campus and virtually via Zoom. Community can thrive online, so we are thrilled to offer a virtual option with a livestreamed keynote and the rest of the event being held synchronously online. Students can specify their attendance method (in-person or virtual) when registering for the event.

By attending the Fall 2024 Social Work Fall Assembly you will:

  • Spend quality time getting to know your fellow students, faculty, and student support staff
  • Learn about the Social Work profession and future career opportunities
  • Contribute your voice to a discussion about student organizations and involvement within the Social Work department
  • Engage in Q&A with a panel of social work students
