Data Science

Data science is about extracting, analyzing, visualizing, managing and storing data to create insights. These insights help companies make powerful data-driven decisions.

Often described as a mashup of data analysis, economics, statistics, and computer science, data scientists jobs are growing at a fast rate. As of May 2020, there are 740 data science-related jobs in Colorado. The state is projecting an expected growth of 14 percent by the end of 2021. Glassdoor also named “data scientist” as the third most desired job by employers for 2020.

MSU Denver’s Skills Lab training could potentially lead to positions such as data analyst, data architect, data administrator, machine learning engineer, statistician, and data and analytics manager.
