Making a living in the music industry isn’t easy, but you don’t need to play an instrument or sing to be successful in it. If you’ve ever dreamt of producing musical content from behind a camera rather than performing on stage, MSU Denver has a career path for you.

The Journalism and Media Production Department is partnering with the Detroit Institute of Music Education by offering the Sound and Vision B.A. degree which integrates video production, social media and photography into aspects of the music business. This degree was created with two primary goals in mind:

  • To help students dip their toes into the side of the music industry seldom seen by college students and,
  • To produce visual media for use in the music business and ancillary industries.

Nothing can bring life to our souls or invigorate our imaginations quite like music. A Sound and Vision degree can allow you to portray your musical vision for others to enjoy. You’ll be equipped with the skills to succeed as visual producer now and have the adaptability to work effectively in the ever-changing landscape of the music and visual media industries.
