Our banking program received a grant to help students with banking experience navigate Prior Learning Assessments (PLA). You can earn credit for the banking experience you already have while earning your BS in Banking.

Course Requirements and PLA Opportunities
GENERAL STUDIES - 34 CREDITS
The University’s General Studies requirements include Composition, Oral Communication, Mathematics, History, Arts, and Sciences. 27 of these credits have PLA opportunities
BUSINESS CORE - 36 CREDITS
The Business Core provides students expose students to a breadth of business knowledge and skills and gives students an understanding of all the functional areas of a business and how they each contribute to the performance of the organization. 15 of the 36 credits in the Business Core have PLA opportunities
BANKING REQUIRED COURSES - 30 CREDITS
All Banking majors take the certain required courses, along with 4 courses in their chosen concentration. 12 of the 30 credits in the Banking major have PLA opportunities
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS - 6 CREDITS
Banking majors are part of the College of Business and are required to complete two courses specified by the College of Business. 3 of the 6 credits in the Additional Requirements have PLA opportunities.
ELECTIVES - 14 CREDITS
Students are required to earn 120 credits to graduate, which allows students in the BS in Banking 14 credits in electives. Additional PLA opportunities are available for elective courses.
Optional concentrations include Compliance and Financial Analysis.
