DENVER – For the third consecutive year, Metropolitan State University of Denver’s College of Business is included on the Military Times’ annual list of top business schools for veterans. The College of Business is ranked as 48th in the nation on the increasingly competitive list, which was released earlier this week.
“Best for Vets: Business Schools 2015” is an editorially independent evaluation of factors that make an institution a good fit for military veterans. MSU Denver was among just four of Colorado’s business schools ranked.
“The College of Business is uniquely positioned to help veteran students because of the larger number of our faculty and staff who are veterans, including some of our department advisors,” said College of Business Dean Ann Murphy. “It’s encouraging that the University’s renewed efforts to support our veteran and military connected students hasn’t gone unnoticed.”
The Military Times organization, made up of Army Times, Navy Times, Air Force Times and Marine Corps Times, provides the most comprehensive school-by-school assessment of veteran and military students’ success rates. Military Times’ Best for Vets survey-based rankings include Colleges, Career & Technical Colleges, Business Schools, Franchise, Employers and Law Enforcement.
As part of MSU Denver’s commitment to veterans and active military students, the University continuously looks for opportunities for improving service delivery through enhanced support services and policy. Military Times named MSU Denver to its annual “Best for Vests: Colleges 2015” rankings as the top four-year institution in Colorado with a 32nd place position nationally. MSU Denver has also been included in Military Advanced Education “Guide to Military-Friendly Colleges and Universities 2015.” In addition, G.I. Jobs magazine and U.S. Veterans Magazine listed MSU Denver in their 2014 guide of top Military Friendly Schools.
