The Hart Center for Public Service

Renewing America’s Public Service Commitment in the 21st Century
When President John, F. Kennedy famously said, "ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country," Gary Hart answered the call. Representing Colorado in the U.S. Senate for 12 years, Hart has set an example for American public service and is calling on citizens from all walks of life to enact positive change in their communities.
Public service should be inclusive.
The Hart Center for Public Service and MSU Denver are partners in this work. For more than 50 years, MSU Denver has provided thousands of Coloradoans an accessible and affordable way to pursue the American dream. Together, the Center and the University will provide fellowships, research opportunities and community-based projects to improve the community at large and enhance American democracy.
President Janine Davidson, Ph.D., connects MSU Denver with the Hart Center by building opportunities for faculty to design innovative coursework, and providing students with Hart Center mentors, public service internships, and valuable experience through public service fellowships.
