CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The 2012 Metro State Staff Professional Development Conference is soliciting proposals for presentation/workshops for the June 25th event.  Extending on last year’s theme of the Democratic Workplace, we introduce this year’s theme, The Spirit of Collaboration by Design, which looks towards the application and practice of collaborative efforts built upon the ten democratic principles expounded at last year’s conference.  University of Southern California professor, Dr. Adrianna Kezar, author of Organizing Higher Education for Collaboration: A Leaders Guide will be our guest keynote speaker this year and she will be presenting on implementing collaboration in higher education.

This year the conference will be conducted in one day with the morning session repeated in the afternoon.  The breakout sessions for your presentations, workshops or program activities will be 60 minutes long.

Session Themes for this year are:

1. Technology You Can Use

2. Good Things to Know About Metro

3. Lifestyle and Well-being

4. Democracy in the Workplace

5. Collaboration
