Professional Development Conference
To ensure the safety of the MSU Denver community in light of the COVID-19 virus, the MSU Denver Professional Development Conference will be postponed until May 2021. We will provide more details about the conference closer to May 2021.
Caring for Our Community
MSU Denver is our community- this includes our students, our co-workers, and the Denver area. We must take a synergistic approach to our community and ensure we are caring for all members, because if one piece of our environment is unhealthy or off kilter, it affects all the other pieces. It is easy to put our heads down and only look at our immediate areas or ourselves, but when we engage in proactive and healthy ways with the larger community around us, the results are a supportive and nurturing environment that fosters a thriving system with greater positive impact.
Our keynote this year will be MSU Denver faculty member Dr. Travis Heath speaking about communities of care in our workplace.
The MSU Denver Professional Development Conference is a one day professional development opportunity open to all MSU Denver employees. It takes place in the King Center, with identical sessions in the morning and afternoon. The day features workshops presented by your peers and a keynote speaker to frame the day’s activities. Light snacks and coffee will be available in the morning, and lunch in the afternoon. We invite you to attend as many activities as your schedule allows. Don't forget to mark your calendars to attend Minute to Win It and a free drawing at the end of the day for your chance to win Rockies tickets, drinks at Tivoli Brewery, gift cards to Starbucks and more.
The purpose of the Professional Development Conference (PDC) is to create an inclusive and energizing opportunity for members of the MSU Denver community to grow both professionally and personally while they learn more about their colleagues.
