The Classroom to Career Hub (C2 Hub) supports the leadership and professional development of students with historically marginalized identities by offering financial support to participate in a leadership or professional development opportunity of their choice.

Mission

To support students with historically marginalized identities by providing them with opportunities, knowledge, and resources to develop themselves and their communities personally, professionally, and socially.

Who Can Participate?

  • Student Organizations (clubs, orgs, etc.)
  • Student Groups (e.g., cohort programs, co-curricular groups) 
  • Academic Cohorts (e.g., classes, groups of scholarship recipients)

Participants must be currently enrolled students at MSU Denver.

Learning Outcomes

As a result of participating in this program, students will… 

  • Be able to IDENTIFY professional development-related resources on- and off-campus. 
  • Be able to APPLY for a professional development opportunity.  
  • Be able to NAVIGATE a professional development opportunity. 
  • Be able to ARTICULATE experiences on career materials. 
  • Be able to REFLECT on their understanding of their identities. 
  • Be able to DEVELOP strategies to engage, strengthen and support their community/ies.

Eligibility & Program Criteria

Experience(s) may not duplicate or substitute pre-existing University programs or resources. For this reason, experiences sponsored or hosted by the Office of International Studies or Study Abroad are not eligible for program funding. This program also cannot support experiences that are required for academic credit. Funding through this program may NOT be utilized toward tuition or fees of an institute of higher education.

The following criteria must be met to receive program support:

  1. Participants and beneficiaries must be currently enrolled students at MSU Denver
  2. The experience(s) must promote diversity, equity, and inclusion
  3. The experience(s) must center identity and community
  4. The experience(s) must contribute towards professional, personal, or leadership development
  5. The experience(s) must align with the mission of MSU Denver

How to Receive Program Support

Programming for Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 has been solidified for the upcoming academic year.  We will be accepting proposals for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 starting in February 2024.  Stay tuned for more information.
