Live and Study in Japan

MSU Denver students have studied at the four of the universities below located throughout Japan. University study abroad programs include cultural events and field trips to nearby places. Prerequisite of JPS 2020 is recommended for students who will be taking classes in Japanese.

 

Partnership programs through USAC (University Studies Abroad Consortium). Host universities:

  1. Nanzan Catholic University Japanese Language Program, Nagoya
  2. Hiroshima University
  3. Nagasaki University of Foreign Studies. Photos
  4. Kwansei Gakuin University, Osaka/Kobe. Osaka/Kobe

 Akita International University

  • Term: Summer, one semester, or one year
  • Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled in a university. Minimum GPA: 2.5. Minimum class standing: Sophomore. English proficiency.
  • Living accommodations: On campus housing, apartment  

Sophia University, Tokyo.

  • Term: One semester, or one year
  • Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled in a university. Minimum GPA: 3.0. Must have studied Japanese for 2 years. English proficiency
  • Instruction: English, Japanese
  • Living accommodations: Off-campus residence hall, university-arranged apartment 

Ritsumeikan University, Study in Kyoto Program.

  • Term: One semester, or one year
  • Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled in a university
  • Minimum class standing: Sophomore. English proficiency
  • Instruction: English, Japanese
  • Living accommodations: Dormitories, apartment, homestay

 

Temple University, Tokyo. More links here and there

  • Term: Summer, one semester, or one year
  • Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled in a university. Minimum class standing: Sophomore. Minimum GPA: 2.75. English proficiency
  • Instruction: English, Japanese
  • Living accommodations: Dormitories, apartment, homestay
