Bio:
Emalie serves current and prospective MPAcc and MBA students for graduate programs in the College of Business at MSU Denver. She is committed to assisting students as efficiently as possible. Emalie started her career at MSU Denver in the Office of Student Engagement & Wellness/Dean of Students in 2017. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration and Marketing from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and an M.A. in Higher Education and Student Affairs Leadership from University of Northern Colorado. As an administrator in higher education, she has had experience working in student activities, orientation, financial aid, and academic advising. Prior to working at MSU Denver, Emalie worked for a national haunted house company in Denver and a publishing company in Davenport, Iowa. In her spare time, Emalie enjoys going to shows, watching horror movies, and discussing anything about the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Bio:
Lauren Shaffer serves current students in the MBA and MPAcc programs from their first initial advising appointment after being admitted to the program to completing the degree and crossing the stage at graduation. She is passionate about supporting students in achieving their academic and professional goals. She seeks out feedback from current students and serves as an advocate in voicing any suggestions or concerns to the Administration to keep the student experience at the forefront of our programs. Lauren comes into this role with 3+ years of advising and program development/management experience at two AACSB accredited institutions, here at MSU Denver in the CIS Department and at Chapman University’s Argyros School of Business and Economics. Through previous roles in customer service, research, writing, and academic advising, Lauren is excited to apply her gained skills and continue learning in this role to best support the success of our graduate students and programs.
