With extensive teaching and industry experience, MSU Denver faculty in the Bachelor of Science degree program in Mathematics have earned a national reputation in Math-and science-related fields such as group theory, biostatistics, wavelets and Mathematics Education. Associate Professor Diane Davis is an expert in algebraic geometry. She teaches calculus and linear algebra and is dedicated to helping students succeed. She is the recipient of the Mathematical Association of America Burton Jones Distinguished Teaching Award for the Rocky Mountain region.
Associate Professor Elizabeth Ribble is a member of the Probability and Statistics group and a popular teacher of all classes in that concentration. Her research involves statistical analysis of very large data sets for medical-related studies. She has been collaborating with a team of medical researchers in the Netherlands, and her work epitomizes the interdisciplinary nature of applied statistics.
