Safe Zone

The Safe Zone Project is designed to educate students, staff, faculty, and administrators about the experiences, concerns, and issues of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) members of our community. The project encourages open dialogue and the sharing of information in order to create a supportive environment for diverse members of the Auraria Campus community. On a personal level, the project provides a space for participants to examine their own values, beliefs, and reactions to issues relating to sexual identity or orientation.

The Speakers Bureau is Auraria students and community members talking with your students openly about different issues or concerns.

Whether your class centers on Diversity, Sexuality, Counseling, Education, Psychology, Management, Athletics, Legal, Family, or Human Rights issues, the GLBTSS Speaker's Bureau offers speakers to aid in your effective teaching curriculum.

If you would like to request speakers, you can call the LGBTQ SRC at (303) 556-6333 or stop by Tivoli 213 during office hours.
