Dual Enrollment

Through Dual Enrollment, high school students can earn college and high school credit simultaneously. Students take classes either at their high school or at MSU Denver.

The instructors use MSU Denver curriculum, texts, and grading scales to ensure the alignment of the University‚Äôs curriculum with high school courses. This academic support helps to create a university educational experience.

By taking advantage of this program, Colorado students will gain access to university courses, jump start their college career while in high school, save money, and build confidence in their academic ability to do university course work.

Earned credits are transferable to most other regionally accredited colleges and universities across the United States. The receiving institution will determine whether or not transfer credit is accepted. Students will also have access to many campus resources when they enroll in the program.

The program is open to any eligible student and school district in Colorado.

  • MSU Denver and your high school will execute an agreement, and determine which classes will be provided.
  • To qualify to take a class, students must satisfy the minimum MSU Denver course prerequisites, and meet their high school's standards.
  • If your high school does not offer college credit classes in your school, please email
  • The high school counselor or teacher will provide a College Credit in High School application, and a link to submit it.
  • MSU Denver staff will then register each student in their respective class.
