MSU Denver

Important Information for Face-to-Face Classes

A crucial aspect of the Exercise Science degree is related to first-hand experiences with assessing and executing exercise activities as well as measurement of health-related vital signs. Exercise Science faculty find it essential that students still receive these experiences during the pandemic. In-person laboratory and experiential learning activities are still taking place in most EXS-prefix courses. Exercise Science faculty are taking every precaution to ensure the safety of students taking part in face-to-face activities.

Along with following guidelines outlined by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), and MSU Denver’s Safe Return to Campus Policy, the Exercise Science faculty, staff, and students must comply with the following:

  • Wearing required face masks at all times (even during physical activity and exercise)
  • Downsizing number of students in face-to-face classrooms to meet recommendations for classroom size/capacity
  • Requiring students to stay home if experiencing any signs/symptoms of COVID-19
  • Providing students with online learning options if they are uncomfortable coming to campus
  • Any student who has tested positive for COVID-19 is asked to follow all guidelines described by the university website; including, but not limited to, informing their instructor of their positive test result
