The National Society of Collegiate Scholars

Description: The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS), a member of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS), is a not-profit honor society that was established to encourage academic achievement. The Society was founded on the principles of Scholarship, Leadership and Service. 

Membership is offered to first and second year undergraduate students who rank in the top 20% of their class, achieve a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.4, and attend a university with an active chapter of NSCS on campus. Juniors and Seniors with a 3.4 or higher are asked to email nscs_club@msudenver.edu if they are interested in joining.

Regalia: A golden cord and a burgundy cord tied together. One of the cords has a gold medallion. The medallion is circular with a torch in the center torch, a book underneath the torch, three stars above the torch and a laurel wreath facing upwards at the base of the torch. Surrounding the wreath, torch and stars are the words “The National Society of Collegiate Scholars.”
