Additional Online Resources

The items listed above are merely a fraction of the historical resources available. Students doing historical research should familiarize themselves with the scholarly riches available through the Auraria Library, the Denver Public Library, the Colorado Historical Society, and the Library of Congress. For example, the Denver Public Library Western History Collection includes thousands of photographs on-line. The Colorado Digitization Project allows scholars to search tens of thousands of pages of Colorado newspapers. The Auraria Library subscribes to many databases such as JSTOR.

Do not assume that because you do not find a resource using Google that it does not exist. Proprietary databases available to MSCD students through the Auraria Library may not show up on Google or, if they do, may involve fees that may be waived if accessed through the Auraria Library.
