Healthy eating is about eating a variety of foods from all food groups to give you the nutrients you need. Follow these tips for eating healthy

  • On most days and meals balance your meal to include whole grains, protein foods, vegetable and fruit and dairy
  • Eating  a variety of foods each day will help you get all the nutrients you need
  • Practice moderation and try not to have too much or too little of one thing. Even a treat can be part of healthy eating
  • Pay attention to what you eat and why
