History
Iota Iota Iota (Triota) is a national honor society that was proudly started right here at MSU Denver in 1985 and has grown to 108 chapters nation wide in the last 35 years! The Greek letter, Iota, was selected for the name to represent the three goddesses Inana, Ishtar, and Isis. Triota strives to maintain the feminist values to encourage diversity, egalitarianism, and a supportive academic environments for all students.
As a member, you will have the opportunity to connect with other students and develop skills by working with others while building a lasting community focused on feminist academics. This includes helping our honor society grow and creating a positive impact on the MSU Denver community which can be through organizing events, presenting at conferences, or partnering with other student organizations / departments.
Eligibility Requirements
In order to qualify for induction, students must:
- Be a current MSU Denver student
- Have completed six credit hours in Gender, Women, and Sexualities Studies (GWS) courses
- Have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher
