Ingrid Carter (formerly Weiland) taught second and third grade in a Spanish/English bilingual classroom in Richmond, CA for four years. She received her Ph.D. at Indiana University, Bloomington in Science Education and then worked as an assistant professor at the University of Louisville for three years. She is currently an associate professor at MSU Denver. Her research interests include preservice elementary teacher preparation in mathematics and science, equity and diversity in formal and informal science education, and argumentation in elementary science through writing.
