As Metropolitan State University of Denver prepares for the launch of Workday, employees should be aware of some critical information prior to implementation in January.
Temporary process to support spring affiliate faculty assignments
For affiliate faculty members teaching in spring, a temporary process has been put in place to collect employee information.
For all affiliate faculty members working in the spring semester, the Office of Human Resources will send the college deans and fiscal managers a document to input their spring affiliate-faculty members’ names and relevant information. Using this document, HR partners will download the data into Workday. This is a one-time activity to support the transition to Workday. Workday training on how to process and pay affiliate faculty members for future semesters (beyond spring) will be available soon. Stay tuned for more information.
Dates and timelines are forthcoming. College deans and fiscal managers are asked to watch for communications coming soon.
Electronic Personnel Action Form info for newly hired employees starting in December
With the move to Workday, the ePAF will go away. However, until the University has fully transitioned to the new system, there will be some instances when an ePAF is still needed.
Who needs an ePAF? New faculty and staff employees with a start date this month.
Any new employee who starts in December will receive a December paycheck and therefore will need an ePAF to be filled out. This includes all full-time staff and hourly employees.
There will be a transition period between when a new December employee starts and when their data will be entered into Workday. Filling out an ePAF will ensure that the HR team collects the necessary employee information so it can be loaded into Workday after the go-live date.
Employees with a start date of Jan. 4 or later will not require an ePAF. After Jan. 4, all employee data will be managed fully through Workday with the proper routing and workflow automatically initiated.
Note: Hiring for student employment will resume Jan. 4, so those employees’ data will be managed fully in Workday. As a reminder, all job requisitions (previously called job postings), including those for student employment, entered a quiet posting period Dec. 1 to support PeopleAdmin phasing out in mid-December.
