MSU Denver recently welcomed local youth to participate in CodeDenver, an immersive, project-based STEM camp. The program is a collaboration between MSU Denver, the Colorado School of Mines and the Gordon Family Giving Foundation to provide 8th and 9th graders with hands-on experience in a variety of disciplines, including coding, game development, 3D printing and robotics. The program is  designed to introduce students who are underrepresented in STEM fields to  cutting-edge technology and STEM-based career opportunities. Not only does the camp provide valuable learning opportunities, it also serves as a networking opportunity for students to connect with local businesses and leaders from the tech community. At the program’s conclusion, the students join a network of alumni and can participate in on-going educational enrichment and higher education success.
