Metropolitan State University of Denver has updated the job-requisition business process in Workday. The change will allow for a holistic job-requisition experience for hiring managers.

What is changing?

MSU Denver is moving away from the Start Job Requisition business process and will transition to Create Job Requisition business process.

Why is it changing?

The Start Job Requisition business process was limiting hiring managers’ ability to insert Worktags. Worktags are keywords like “fund” and “function” assigned to business events, so users can aggregate, report and analyze their information. The Create Job Requisition business process will enable hiring managers to insert the Fund, Function and Cost Center Worktags at the time of creating the job requisition.

Please consult with your department fiscal manager if you are unsure/unaware of the correct Worktags to use for a job requisition.

When will this change take effect?

The transition will occur in phases:

  1. MSU Denver has enabled Create Job Requisition for all hiring managers across campus. .
  2. Hiring managers should stop using Start Job Requisition effective immediately.
  3. Effective immediately, Start Job Requisition will be disabled for all hiring managers.
  4. All job requisitions already started through the Start Job Requisition business process must be completed by April 11.
