MSU Denver sign.Enrollment Command Center Data Series

February’s ECC Data Series presentation will cover an analysis conducted by Business Intelligence into student course grades. Given that most Metropolitan State University of Denver courses have gone online, this project provides an in-depth comparative analysis of students’ course grades between fall 2019 and fall 2020. The analysis sought to identify any noticeable differences between a semester that was mostly delivered face-to-face and one that was mostly online.

  • Baseline insights into the differences seen between semesters.
  • Differences seen between different types of online delivery methods.
  • Opportunities to better support students as they navigate through this new academic environment.

‘Moolaadé’ and the Films of Ousmane Sembène

Join the Denver Project for Humanistic Inquiry for this season’s exciting program, which includes two film panels. As part of the MSU Denver English Department’s World Cinema Series, and with support from the Colorado Fulbright Association, a panel of MSU Denver scholars will discuss Ousmane Sembène’s “Moolaadé.” The 2004 film tells the story of a West African woman’s struggle as she tries to protect a group of children from genital mutilation in the face of opposition from her husband and the rest of her village.
