Put Roadrunners First
Sponsored by the Center for Equity and Student Achievement, Roadrunners First is a professional-development opportunity for MSU Denver faculty and staff to consider how they work with first-gen students. The training explores deficit language and how it affects first-generation students in particular, with feedback from first-gen students.

Start the New Year off accessibly
The upcoming Document Accessibility Workshop will provide information about how to identify inaccessible instructional materials — specifically PDFs, PowerPoints and Word Documents — and provide methods to make these materials fully accessible. The workshop will include hands-on training on the creation of accessible PDF documents from inaccessible image-based PDF documents.

Cheer on MSU Denver basketball
The MSU Denver women’s and men’s basketball teams have several home games through the end of the year. Watch both teams take on Colorado Mesa and Western State on Dec. 15 and 16, and see the men go head-to-head with Northwest Nazarene on Dec. 19. Find the details at www.roadrunnersathletics.com.
Honor those continuing the work of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
The MLK Peace Breakfast and award ceremony recognizes and celebrates individuals within MSU Denver and the Denver community who keep the spirit and dream of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. alive through their actions and contributions to peace, justice, diversity, equality and social change. This year’s theme, Music and the Movement, will also feature Ron Miles, MSU Denver director of jazz studies.
