E is for Entrepreneurship
Our final profile of the letters in CADRE.
April 10, 2017
You’ve been reading our CADRE series over the last several weeks. Each letter of the CADRE acronym reminds us of a shared, core value. Together, they represent the fundamental tenets of the University’s mission – and what it means to be part of the MSU Denver community.
As Roadrunners, we embody an entrepreneurial spirit defined by agility, risk taking and scrappiness. Our can-do attitudes don’t get bogged down by setbacks, and where others falter, we run faster.
This entrepreneurial mindset frames an innovative approach to delivering a wide range of academic disciplines, solving problems and addressing community workplace and social needs. It’s part of our journey to become the preeminent public urban university in the nation.
From literal groundbreaking on-campus partnership initiatives to enterprises affecting change across the globe and in our own back yard, transformation is in our DNA. Through the creation of innovative public-private partnerships, MSU Denver has generated new revenue streams, while also supporting academic programs, adding scholarships and creating productive community connections.
Or to put it another way – when something big and pioneering is happening, there’s a good chance a Roadrunner is involved.
