2010 Employee Survey
Climate matters at Metro State. As we move down the path of preeminence, it is very important that we work together to share our opinions and thoughts regarding our campus climate. Your voice in this area truly is valuable. We all have a stake in the continued success of our institution, and we need to hear your opinions about the things that matter to all of us.
To better understand our strengths and to identify the areas where we need to improve, we are conducting an Employee Campus Climate Survey. Results of this confidential survey will be used for our own continuous improvement as we work to meet our institutional goals. We want to know what you think is special about working here as well as the problems you see, so that we can improve upon them. We will use these results to explore new ways to help you be successful and help the College fulfill its mission.
We have engaged ModernThink, a management consulting firm that specializes in surveys of employees at institutions of higher education, to implement the survey. The firm conducted the “Great Colleges to Work For” survey, results from which were posted in the July 2009 issue of The Chronicle of Higher Education. The results from our survey will have the ability to be compared with similar institutions nationwide, allowing for benchmarking and planning, as well as entry into this program. Topics include work quality, communication, management, workplace culture, benefits and many other subjects.
While the survey is comprehensive in scope, it is also concise and to the point. It should take only about 20 minutes to complete. I assure you that your responses will remain strictly confidential. You’ll take the survey on ModernThink’s website, where you’ll be provided with a unique username and password that no other Metro State employee will know. Therefore, your responses will not be individually recognizable and your confidentiality will be protected. You’ll be able to access the survey wherever a computer is available, even at home. ModernThink will report the results to us in April 2010, and we will share those with the Metro State community.
