Middle School Program

Tuesdays 4-5:30  |  Sept. 3 - Dec. 3. | Grades 6-8

The middle school program will focus on developing ideas, exploring new art making techniques and modes of creative expression. Students will gain experience in a wide variety of media. Middle school students receive a behind-the-scenes look at the gallery, touring exhibitions in depth and gaining inspiration from the contemporary art on view.

High School Program

Thursdays 4-5:30  |  Sept. 5 - Dec. 5  | Grades 9-12

In addition to exploring new techniques and modes of creative expression, the high school program will focus on professional development, networking and mentorship from guest artists and creatives. High school students will go on occasional field trips to meet and learn from creative professionals, gaining a behind the scenes look into various creative career pathways.

How much does it cost? All Art + Action Lab programs are FREE. Education programs at CVA are generously supported by our sponsors, donors and members.

Do I need to purchase supplies for my child? All art supplies and materials for class are provided free of cost.

Are there any transportation costs? High school program field trip transportation is provided free of cost, although teens will be responsible for their own transportation to and from CVA.

Can I still register my child if the session has already started? Yes! Students are admitted on a rolling basis throughout the course of the program until the program is full. If the program is full, you will be placed on a waiting list and someone will reach out to you when/if a space opens up.

Is my child required to attend every week? We understand that illnesses, emergencies, vacations and other things come up but we encourage students to commit to coming each week to receive the greatest benefit.
