Course Development

The CTLD offers support for faculty teaching a new or existing online, hybrid or face-to-face courses. We support faculty through the ongoing continuous course improvement programs, such as CourseLaunch, CourseAssist and CourseSelect.

Continuous Course Improvement (CCI) Programs

CourseLaunch provides the resources necessary to launch a new online or hybrid course at MSU Denver.

CourseAssist provides highly-focused individual feedback and enriching recommendations tailored to faculty's unique needs and strengths. The ITS Educational Technology Center assembles the right group of experts to do a comprehensive analysis of existing online course design based on an internationally recognized framework, and supported by empirical research. The results of the review help identify the merits and gaps within the online courses and serve as a blueprint for continuous course improvement.

CourseSelect is a program for development or improvement of hybrid or online courses, using national benchmarks for quality of design, and appropriate instructional design theories for building a truly immersive course.

Open Educational Resources (OER) are freely accessible, openly licensed documents and media that are useful for teaching, learning, and assessing as well as for research purposes.
