This informative workshop will focus on non-problematic vs. problematic use of alcohol and cannabis. Among topics discussed will be the levels of severity of use; defining abuse and addiction; and general information about the effects of use over time.

This workshop will provide a safe space for persons to discuss and explore the difficulties associated with decreasing one’s substance use behaviors through greater understanding of each individual’s cycle of cravings and urges. This workshop will help affected students learn how to identify triggers of their cravings and urges, make a plan for dealing with them in the moment, understand one’s feelings associated with substance use, and will identify avenues for social and therapeutic support.
