Personal Effectiveness Workshops

 

A Whole New World: Support for Graduating Seniors This workshop will provide a safe space for students in their final semester to process their upcoming transition from being a student to a graduate. This workshop focuses on reducing stress and managing the challenges of transitioning into the workplace and facilitating success post-graduation.

Option 1

When: Tuesday, February 4 th., 12 noon-1:00 p.m.

Option 2

When: Wednesday, April 1st., 2:00-3:00 p.m.

Facilitators: Anne Edwards, Psy.D., Staff Psychologist, & Lori Gardner, M.A., Practicum Student

 

Succeeding In Spite of Bipolar Depression

Bipolar Depression can be managed with the right types of interventions and support. This workshop will provide an overview of the signs and symptoms, provide opportunity to discuss some of the challenges, and offer treatment and coping strategies.

Day/Date:   Monday, March 16th., 11:00 a.m.-12 noon

 

 

Dream Interpretation:

Have you ever wondered what your dreams mean? What do they say about you and your conscious waking life? Participants will get to share dreams, and we will try to interpret and make sense of them. Sleep physiology, sleep talking and sleepwalking, common images, and themes in dreams will be discussed.

Grad School Juggling Act: Support for Graduate Students This workshop is designed to provide some support and direction for graduate students who may be facing multiple challenges in navigating school, work, and family life. Students may identify key stressors and there will be opportunity for brainstorming options in effectively managing these stressors.

Option 1:

When: Tuesday, February 11 th., 12 noon-1:00 p.m.

Option 2:

When: Wednesday, March 11 th.,  2:00-3:00 p.m.

Cultivating Healthy Relationships

Are you struggling to communicate with a partner, roommate, friend, or family member? This workshop will help you identify characteristics of healthy and unhealthy relationships and learn interpersonal skills to communicate more effectively.

 

When: Thursday, February 13 th., 2:00--3:00 p.m.

Facilitator: Caela Day, Psy.D., Staff Psychotherapist

 

It May Not Be What You Eat or Don't Eat; It May Be What's Eating You

This workshop will focus on some of the underpinnings of eating disorders. You will be exposed to contributing factors and options for getting further professional help.

 

When: Monday, February 24 th.,11:00 a.m.-12 noon
