CAS 3200 Water Conflict: Applied Leadership Communication
This course will focus on the nature, analysis, and management of water resources conflict. Concepts and practices in the management of water as a resource will be explored with a focus on the use of negotiation, facilitation, and mediation skills in conflict situations. Special attention will be given to the way that effective leadership in these situations can prevent a negative spiral in the conflict communication and work toward resolving conflicts about water resources. Students will address current knowledge in water management and conflict management, do case work on water conflict scenarios, and practice communication skills useful for managing conflict.
