CAS 3150 Crisis Communication in Sustaining Organizations

This course addresses specific communication strategies for identifying crises, exploring sources of such crises, developing strategic plans for assessing their probability of occurrence, generating action plans, communicating such plans to various stakeholders, examining ethical implications of such plans including collateral damage (i.e., victims), and exploring new and emerging trends in crisis communication. Convergent media resources will be examined for their functional and dysfunctional contributions to crisis communication expression.
