LGBTQ Student Resource Center Lavender Graduation Ceremony

We are seeking students from the Auraria LGBTQIA+ community who will be graduating this Fall for Lavender Graduation!  Lavender Graduation is a celebration of the accomplishment of graduation, honoring the journey and the additional obstacles that our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual + (LGBTQIA+) students had to overcome through their college and university experiences.

Due to the ongoing safety concerns of gatherings during COVID, Lavender Graduation will look different this semester.  While we are unable to hold an in-person ceremony to honor our graduates, we still want to recognize and celebrate the many accomplishments that you’ve had in earning your degree!  We will be mailing out stoles and certificates toward the beginning of December.  We would also like to feature our graduates on our website, and show the world how amazing you all are!

If you are graduating, please fill out this application:  If you know of any LGBTQIA+ students who are graduating, please forward this email to them, to ensure we include everyone.  We are asking that the application be filled out by Monday, November 30.

Thank you again for your continued support of our Center, and our work towards a Community for All Genders and Sexualities!

For more information, please contact Steve Willich at

We hold our celebration to honor all graduating LGBTQ students. We would like to thank them for their support during their time here and to wish them well in their future endeavors!
