Black History Month is a big event in the Auraria Campus, the Center for Multicultural Engagement and Inclusion collabortates with the Africana Studies Department, Black Student Alliance and various tri-institutional offices to create engaging activities for students.  This 2019 Fall Semester, Wanuri Kahiuan acclaimed artist and filmmaker, visited us to give a lecture on how she shatters conventional thinking about representation in African culture—by celebrating art that’s made for the simple joy of it.
