  • Sign up for workshops, career fairs and other campus recruiting events
  • Research employers and set up automatic position notifications
  • Find career resources and resume building tools
  • Apply for internship credit

How Do I Access Career Link?

  1. From your phone or computer, go to https://msudenver-csm.symplicity.com/students/app/home
  2. Log in with your MSU Denver NetID and password
  3. Search for jobs, events, employers, appointments with career advisors, and more!

Set Up Your Career Link Profile

  1. Select ‘My Account’ to update your career “status”, and settings for ‘Emails & Notifications’. This will help us manage the communications you receive from our office.
  2. If this is the first time you have logged into Career Link, you will need to add a personal email address.
  3. You can sign up for text message alerts and reminders.

Let's Schedule a Career Advising Appointment

Current students and graduates (within the first year from the date of their graduation) may meet with an advisor for career advising. Here’s how:

  1. Select ‘Career Advising Appt’ from the left menu.
  2. Click on the ‘Request New Appointment’ button.
  3. Select the ‘Type’ of appointment you are seeking from the first drop-down. Fill in the preferred date range, time and/or days of the week to help refine your search.
  4. Then click ‘Check Availability’.
  5. Select the Career Advisor based on the desired appointment date/time.
  6. When the request box appears, add any relevant notes for the Career Advisor (optional).
  7. Click ‘Submit Request’. The Career Advisor will approve the request and send a meeting invitation with an MS Teams link, if needed, to your MSU Denver email account.
  8. Accept the meeting invitation and save it to your calendar.
  9. If needed, reply with a resume or other files for the appointment.
  10. Contact April Peterson ([email protected]) for questions or issues with scheduling.

Searching for Job & Internship Roles

  1. Select ‘Jobs & Internships’ from the left menu. You can ‘Search All Positions’, or narrow down your options with ‘Search Career Jobs’ or ‘Search Internships’. You can also just type in ‘Keywords’.
  2. More filters to refine your search are available under the search bar. (Search by major to find internships likely to be approved for credit).
  3. Select the position you are interested in to see more detailed information about the position, as well as the qualifications and how to apply.
  4. By clicking ‘+ Create Job Alert’, you can set up an alert based on that search criteria and indicate how often you would like to receive them via email.
  5. You can also ‘+ Follow’ the organization if you want to be updated on an employer’s recruiting activity (Career Fairs, Position Postings, On-Campus Interviews, etc.).
