Arminta (Skip) Neal was a noted artist, author, and patron of the arts in the Denver community. Ms. Neal was an administrator and exhibit designer for the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and a nationally recognized authority on museum exhibits, serving as a member of the Smithsonian Advisory Council. Skip taught art classes at the Foothills Center in Golden, Colorado, and was a longstanding member of the Denver Women's Chorus. The illustrations in this section were based on her World War II basic training experiences in the Women's Army Corps at Fort Des Moines. She donated these works for use in this project before her death on September 22, 2003.
