Recipe Tator Tot Casserole ingredients

  • 1 pound of ground beef

  • 1/2 large white onion, chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1-2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 cans (14.5 ounces, each) French-cut green beans (or kernel corn), drained

  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup

  • 2 cups (16 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 bag (32 ounces) frozen tater tots

  • French fried onions (optional)

Note: This recipe is easy to alter based on your personal preferences. Use your favorite canned or frozen vegetables, condensed cream soup, ground protein and cheese! Serve with eggs and hot sauce for an extra kick.

  1. Preheat oven to 375 ?. Grease an 8-inch square or 9x13-inch baking dish. Set aside.

Birdfeeder Tip: The smaller casserole dish will result in thicker layers of meat and vegetables, but will require fewer tater tots for the top.

  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef until no longer pink. Season with salt and pepper. Drain excess fat.

  3. Add onions and garlic to ground beef. Cook until onions are translucent.

  7. Spread vegetable and soup mixture over ground beef layer.

  8. Layer cheese on top of vegetables, reserving 1/4 cup.
