A student on Academic Probation not making progress toward Good Academic Standing with the institution will be prohibited from registering at the institution for one calendar year and will be placed on Academic Suspension standing.
Students on Academic Suspension standing may elect to appeal the decision through an Academic Suspension appeal. The suspension appeal will be submitted to the Student Intervention Services who will deliver the request to the Academic Review Committee. The appeal will be reviewed and the student will be notified of the final decision. A student may appeal a suspension, at most, two times in his/her academic career at MSU Denver.
A student on Academic Probation standing whose cumulative GPA remains below a 2.00 after three or more semesters will have their academic progress reviewed at the end of each semester by the Academic Review Committee to determine whether the they should be placed on suspension.
In both cases, the decision of the Academic Review Committee is final. Any student returning to MSU Denver after the one calendar year suspension must reapply and will be readmitted to MSU Denver on Academic Probation standing. For these students, all probationary conditions, as outlined above, will apply.
