Have you applied for financial aid?

March 1 – Priority Deadline

The earlier you complete this step, the better. Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by using MSU Denver’s school code 001360. Check out MSU Denver’s scholarships which are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis or based on academics, achievement and financial need.

Dreamers, DACA/undocumented, and international students: complete the Colorado Application for Student Financial Aid (CASFA) to apply for financial support.

If official transcript evaluations have not been completed, please bring unofficial transcripts when meeting with your advisor so you register for the correct courses. REMINDER: All official transcripts must be received for actual course transfer.

Next Steps

1) Get Your Student ID Number

You will receive your Student ID Number in your digital and mailed acceptance letter. You can also get your Student ID Number from the Office of Admissions.

2) Follow Instructions on My First Login

Get your NetID and PIN to set up your student email account and access your Student Hub. Please check your MSU Denver student email account regularly for important messages. My First Login Need assistance? Contact the ITS Helpdesk at 303-352-7548

3) Submit Official Transcripts

You may have been admitted to MSU Denver by uploading an unofficial copy of your transcripts or scores to your application account. Prior to attending, you will need to request that your official transcripts or GED scores (and official test scores if applicable) be sent from your school or institution. When applicable, transcripts should have a posted graduation date and final grades.

4) Attend Orientation

Transfer students are required to attend a transfer orientation or complete online registration before registering for classes. Sign up as soon as dates are available to secure your spot.

5) Meet Your Advisor

You should receive advising during Orientation. If not, you must set up an appointment with your advisor before selecting classes (required). Find your advisor or make an appointment.

6) Register for Classes

You should register for classes during Orientation. If not, you can log on to your student hub and register for courses yourself. You can also change and edit your schedule too.

7) Authorize the COF Stipend

Colorado residents qualify for the College Opportunity Fund stipend which pays for a portion of in-state tuition on every course credit you take.

8) Obtain Books and Student ID

Visit the Tivoli Station Bookstore and purchase books and supplies, along with your Student ID card. You will need a valid photo ID and a copy of your class schedule.

9) Pay Your Tuition

Pay tuition and fees via the Student Hub or at the Cashier's Office (located in the Jordan Student Success Building, Counter 5) by 5 p.m. on the Friday before classes begin.

10) Join Your Community

You are invited to join all newly-admitted Roadrunners in the online Facebook community group. This is a great way to meet your peers, ask questions, and get involved.

11) Understand the University Immunization Requirements

MSU Denver strongly recommends that ALL students be fully vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19.

12) Understand the University Insurance Requirements

MSU Denver's sponsored plan is designed with quality benefits including 100% coverage at the Health Center at Auraria.

Access Center: Students with mental health, hearing, visual, physical, chronic health and learning disabilities are encouraged to contact the Access Center.
Placement Testing: You may be required to take a placement test for math and/or English depending on your incoming test scores or completed college coursework. Take a look at the Office of Testing Services Website for more details.

RTD CollegePass

All MSU Denver students registered for the fall 2021 semester have the ability to opt-in for an RTD CollegePass, allowing for unlimited Local, Regional and Airport bus and rail services. Learn more about payment options and picking up your pass here.

Roadrunner Card with Wells Fargo Banking Option

Roadrunner Card 2020 You will get your Roadrunner ID Card at orientation, but thanks to our partners at Wells Fargo you can also link it to your Wells Fargo Everyday Checking account for free access to cash at Wells Fargo ATMs nationwide and to make PIN-debit purchases. For your convenience, Wells Fargo offers an ATM located inside the Jordan Student Success Building.
