Course for OER adoption:  EDT 2050 Instructional Design Thinking

Semester of planned adoption:  Spring 2020

Project summary:  For this project, OERs are being adapted and used in the EDT 2050 - Instructional Design Thinking course for online delivery. Specifically, the adoption of the OER textbook “Project Management for Instructional Designers” by Wiley, et al. is being used as a primary text resource. This course is expected to enroll, at a minimum 12 students in Spring 2020, and ~20 students per subsequent semesters.

Course for OER adoption:  EDT 3060 Instructional Media

Semester of planned adoption:  Spring 2020

Project summary:  The project was to build EDT 3060 – Instructional Media, a new course in the instructional design certification for MSU Denver’s School of Education.  The course focuses on learning how to create multimedia content and structure it with learners in mind, specifically focusing on theories of multimedia learning, and methods of content creation that are conducive to the production of knowledge.
