A meeting to update the University community on the progress of the Hispanic Serving Institution initiative is planned for next week.
All faculty and staff are invited to the meeting, which will be held Wednesday, Nov. 14, 9-10 a.m. in TIV 640.
According to Deputy Provost Luis Torres, the HSI Task Force co-chair, a smaller working group of task force members will give the status update and then over the next several months will be reviewing the 55 recommendations contained in the original HSI report.
“We will be looking at where we are now, lessons we’ve learned, what is still outstanding and what might no longer be applicable,” Torres says. The intention is to produce a new executive summary by March 2013.
