We are pleased to announce that the Center for Urban Connections is now part of the Applied Learning Center.  The Applied Learning Center houses four program areas; Internships, Service Learning, Undergraduate Research, and now the Center for Urban Connections.  Please visit the Applied Learning Center website for complete program information:

MSU Denver students, faculty, staff, and alumni have a long history of engagement with the local community, working together to identify and address needs of the Denver metropolitan area. The Center for Urban Connections serves to organize, focus, and strengthen community partnerships while fostering social responsibility and contributing to the common good.

The center offers civic engagement programs, student leadership opportunities, and campus-community collaborations, including:



Compact Service Corps (formerly known as UCAN Serve)
This program is no longer accepting applications due to funding cut as of 8/14.





Community Partnerships
Promotes collaborative relationships between MSU Denver and its surrounding community
